Thanks RJ 325is 05-09-2008, 01:51 PM waiting for bmwaldo to chime in ;) DiScoTeknix 05-09-2008, 01:56 PM :rofl I got my fenders rolled there. They did a pretty good job for a dirt cheap group buy price. And Waldo hooked it up with some studs spacers, besides that I don't have any experience. Drop by the local shops and see which one you like.;) sisomphonE 05-09-2008, 02:02 PM go to BTM or edge hitek510 05-09-2008, 02:06 PM go to BTM or edge Is their quality of work better than BR Racing? BRR is charging me $95 to replace my valve cover gasket. sisomphonE 05-09-2008, 02:08 PM much better. you wont waste time amdspitfire 05-09-2008, 02:10 PM Is their quality of work better than BR Racing? BRR is charging me $95 to replace my valve cover gasket. Valve cover gasket is probably the easiest job on a car. Save your money and diy, I'm sure you will clean up the surface and torque the bolts a lot better than a shop would. RJ 325is 05-09-2008, 02:10 PM Is their quality of work better than BR Racing? Ouch.....pm Misfit he can do it for less. sisomphonE 05-09-2008, 02:10 PM yeah, just PM MSFIT we will be working on cars this weekend, maybe he can do it for ya randytt 05-09-2008, 02:15 PM valve cover gasket took me about 30mins to do, and i had to make a run to the dealer. u might want to do this yourself, unless u rather pay $100 to have some1 else do it. It took me 1.5 hours my first time, including beer breaks. RJ 325is 05-09-2008, 02:19 PM +1 Valve cover gaskets are easy. It took me 1.5 hours my first time, including beer breaks. BRR is charging me $95 to replace my valve cover gasket. Is that $95 with parts? If so, I don't think thats too bad. The job is pretty quick and easy though, the most daunting part of it would be loosening up the whole harness area(on your car there is a little bit more plastic to remove than an e36) so you can get to the bolts at the rear of the engine. I find it easier to remove both wipers and pull up everything right there, gives you a lot of room to work with. If you already have the parts and feel some what mechanically inclined then you should give it a shot yourself. You run into problems you're welcome to shoot me a pm for my cell, I'll be down south this weekend but I'll have my phone. I can't find an e39 valve cover diy but here is the e36 http://www.pelicanparts.com/bmw/techarticles/E36-valve-cover/E36-Valve-Cover.htm since the motor part is all going to be the same pretty much, and the difference will be in just what you have to remove at the back. M5series 05-09-2008, 02:24 PM I had my fender rolled by BRracing and they did a good job for half the price that some other shops charge. Im sure valve gasket should be an easy diy.... hitek510 05-09-2008, 02:38 PM Is that $95 with parts? If so, I don't think thats too bad. Thanks MSFIT, The price quoted was minus the parts. I have done the valve cover gasket on my car before for the very first time in the hot ass sun a couple of weeks ago and its now leaking from another spot :( I am just not mechanically inclined i guess. I know the procedure but executing it is the problem haha. PM me your number MSFIT and maybe we can meet up sometime:buttrock motorsports321 05-09-2008, 02:39 PM Id stick with Edge as far as shops go. But a valve cover is easy to do, and something you might want to try yourself to save the $$$ RJ 325is 05-09-2008, 02:41 PM Id stick with Edge as far as shops go.
