Good mechanic in Orange County?
I just moved to Costa Mesa area in south Orange County, CA and looking for a reputable BMW mechanic to service my vehicle. I had bad experience thus far with dealers namely the snotty folks at Crevier and Irvine BMW.
Thanks Scott |

This is the wrong section to post an inquiry such as this. Try posting in the appropriate regional section(I am going to assume California) or having a moderator tow this thread there. You will have more leads to shops in your area than you ever thought existed! Good luck!

Scott,
My mechanic is in San Marcos, North county San Diego. He is an ASE certified stage 1 BMW master mechanic with over 10 years of proffessional experience. He works at the local BMW dealership and he charges $60/hour. He does great work but since it's a side job of his you have to be mellow and allow him enough time to fit you in. He pretty much works around the clock. PM me for more info or go to the CA section and look up KnudsonM3's thread http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum....php?t=1255954 |

FYI, South OC starts in Irvine, your in reg/North OC. I've used Vince (Knudson's link) and he's very competent. Also German Auto Garage in Mission Viejo, are very good.

How bout Bullet Peformance in Costa Mesa. I'm a tech at a indy BMW shop in North OC but if I had no clue how to work on my car I would take it there. They're all great guys who do excellent work. That or Soley BMW in Lake Forest. The owner, Chad, was my mechanic before I started working on cars back when I was 16yrs old.

My car was worked on by Turbo Ted
He's across the street from Precision Motors. Ted is a really cool guy and his son Teddy is a BMW fanatic too. They do some subframe welding and repair for Precision. He does a lot of custom work too, like body kits, dual exhaust conversion, engine upgrades, etc...He's always super busy, so I would only bring my car there for big jobs. ![]() ![]()

Evan at German Auto Garage has wrenched for Indy Car teams in the 80's and been into BMW's (and Bill who runs the desk) forever. First time I met them I had rebuilt an Axle and the CV boot clamp would not fit no matter what I tried, he tried too and confirmed. So he safety wired the Boot....for Free too! ![]()
